Sports Hospitality

Hospitality and sports go hand and hand now days.  With the popularity of the sports industry with over 85% of the American population, corporations have tapped into the sports hospitality business, utilizing it for their planning needs of corporate outings.  One of the central marketing keys with any product is hospitality.  When entertaining a group of clients, without the benefits of hospitality, the events falls flat of what it was intent on accomplishing.

Sports Hospitality gives a corporation a huge range of events in which to schedule corporate outings dependent upon a few things:

  • The need or purpose of the corporate outing:  Do you need a setting where there can be more interaction with client due to launching a new product or trying to close a deal?  On the other hand, if being used as a reward, communication interaction does not necessarily factor in as high.

  • Interest of the client:  Is there a particular sporting event you know your guest would prefer over another.  If you have actively partaken in one on one golf outings with the same clients maybe a U.S. Open or Masters Tournament would be fitting.

  • Time frame:  If attempting to close a deal or launching a new product you may want more then one day to get your sale pitch out or fully introduce your new product.  In this case, maybe an Elite Eight or Final Four Tournament might just be the ticket.

There are many types of sport hospitality packages from every major domestic to international sporting events.  Sports Hospitality Packages give the bearer an extra edge that a general consumer would not have the opportunity to experience.  For instance, the NFL Super Bowl provides a corporate hospitality village located close to the host stadium.  They have also been known to offer in stadium facilities.   Formula One Racing offers the Padlock Club that is located at the heart of each event.  International hospitality is no exception to the rule with the Wembley Stadium in London is planning their whole stadiums around incorporating huge hospitality facilities.  A typical Sports Hospitality package will include the groups’ hotel accommodations, tickets to the sporting event, pre and post event parties, transportation to and from events, meals related to all events, hospitality gifts, and on site program staff.

Every corporation is looking for the next best thing, the edge against other corporations to make them stand out in the crowd.  Sport Hospitality can be just that edge you are looking for. †
